Paul Glover Biography
Paul Glover is a composer and songwriter for TV and Film who is known for his diversity of musical style and genre. He crafts his music to fit practically any feeling of mood that is needed. Paul currently residents in the state of New Hampshire. Having been born and raised in New England, his roots are strong in this area of the country. Paul attended Westfield State College in Western Massachusetts where he studied Classical Piano Performance. After graduation he joined the Boston Club Music scene by performing in multiple Original Rock Bands. One of these groups named Matrix recorded an album with the late great Music Prouder Jimmy Miller who produced and worked with The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Traffic, Blind Faith and Motorhead among others. Paul was also a featured pianist in restaurants in New England area.
After a sabbatical from music to raise his family, he is currently concentrating on composing music for TV and Film. Paul’s diversity in his composing is due to his love of all genres of music. “Good music is good music, regardless of the window dressing that is used”, Paul is often heard saying. When you sit down to hear one of Paul’s pieces you never know what to expect. It can be a lovely melodic solo piano piece, a dance club piece, or a full orchestral cue for a dramatic scene fitted for film. His composing techniques match his mantra. “I never know what I will have composed by the end of the day, it all depends on what direction that initial spark of creative juices have decided to send me”, Paul comments. Unless writing for a specific need from a Publisher or Music Supervisor, he will write anywhere from Pop, Orchestral, New Age, Jazz, Cinematic for film and trailers, or for Reality shows. Paul enjoys this weaving in and out of genres. He never gets a chance to become bored, or for his creative process to become systematic. No sooner will he finish up a Pop song that he will start composing an Orchestral, World or Jazz cue.
Paul is actively composing for Music Libraries and Music Publishers who distribute to Music Supervisors in TV and Film.
